Guards Van

Just as I name all my carriages after my nieces and locomotives after female members of my family -I name my Guards Vans after nephews. Currently there are: Jacob and Dean, (with Mikhail under construction).

They are all different in the fact that they reflect the personality of the nephew!!!

See Picture 1.

The Guards van is styled after some I saw in an illustration. They look American because they were made in the USA and exported to NZ. BUT they do have the classic 'English' portholes -made from curtain rings. The walkways are made from lengths of moulding, and the curved roofs are sections of guttering...

The other Guards Van are essentially similar except they have two sets of four wheel bogies and no walkways.
